Call for Artists-Rowdy Indie Craft Fair, Akron

Rowdy Indie Craft Fair, Sunday December 4th, 2-10 pm (Vendor's selling hours are 2-8pm) at Studio 526 located at 526 Grant Street, Akron, OH 44302

APPLY ONLINE HERE

Vendor's hours will be from 2pm-8pm. Bands will play in the lobby starting
at 6:30 until about 10pm. Vendors must stay until 8pm but have the option to
continue selling until 11 if they wish.

Applications are due October 21 and those accepted will be informed no later
than October 28. Contracts and a $30 vendors fee will be required by
November 4 in order to reserve a space.

CH Members on Panel at Entrepreneur Presentation

On Wednesday, September 21, 2011 the Warrensville Heights Area Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Breakfast will present a Q & A panel discussion with four local, accomplished entrepreneurs who will discuss the inspiration and drive that led them to build their own businesses.

Cleveland Handmade artists Chris Zielski, of Copper Leaf Studios, LLC and Jane Pierce, of zJayne, will field questions and discuss their enterprises along with Susan Swartzwelder, The OPS Network and Michelle Filler, Fillers Finds, LLC.

Time: 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

Show Opportunity in Akron- Sunday August 14th



Cleveland Handmade team member Brit Charek of holdenallan.etsy.com is helping to organize an event in Akron on Sunday, August 14th at
Studio 526 right across from Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. The plan is: open the doors and start selling at noon, along with artwork on display on the gallery side, then around 7pm there will be bands performing.

She is hoping to work in cooperation with the University Park Street Fair, held on Saturday, August 13th, and she will have access to Sunday's
venue on Saturday night, so sellers who want to work both shows can move
their set-up just down the street.

Call for Artists! Valley City Frog Jump 8/14/11

The 50th Anniversary Valley City
Frog Jump Festival, is Sunday, August 14, 2011 and its organizers are looking to add an offering of local artists to display and sell their handmade goods and art during the event.

Outdoor tables will be provided, tents are allowed but not required. The Frog Jump runs from 10am-6pm and features food and beverages sold by the local chamber of commerce and girl and boy scout troops. The event has a long-standing tradition of being a family oriented with little or no commercial or for-profit vendors.

Display Opportunity with popular Salon



The Charles Moscarino Salon, located in Strongsville near Southpark Mall, is looking for local artists to display their work in the salon beginning May 1, 2011.

Work will be displayed on a rotating basis for 60 days at a time. Sales will be split with a 20% commission to the salon and the balance to the artist. PBS donations and Mini Team Meet-up April 8th 6-10pm


Cleveland Handmade is putting together a basket (or two!) to donate to the PBS Auction. If you would like to contribute a handmade piece, please drop off your item at Dovecote in the Screw Factory in Lakewood during Dovecote's open house on Friday, April 8th from 6-10pm and stick around to socialize at our mini team meet-up!

If you can't make the meet-up on April 8th, please mail your contribution as soon as possible to: Kathy Patton, 871 Canterbury Unit J, Westlake, Ohio 44145 with a note detailing the retail value of your donation and a few business cards so we can place them in the basket with your item.

You don't need to donate to the basket to come to the meet-up. Just bring yourself (friends are welcome, too!) and a snack to share if you wish. RSVP/invite on Facebook here (optional.)

Dovecote is located on the 3rd floor in the Screw Factory Studios at Lake Erie Building, 13000 Athens, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. Please use the West Drive to park in the lot behind the building and use the door by the first docks. Signs will be posted to direct you.

"For almost 30 years, the Roxboro Elementary PTA has hosted an arts festival designed to bring together the Heights community in celebration of the arts, our school and our children. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2011 on school grounds from 11am‐3pm. The Roxboro Arts Festival is a day of hands‐on fun for children highlighting arts and crafts activities. It is also a party for the community with food, entertainment and an arts and crafts sale. Every year, local artists and craftpersons join our celebration to exhibit and sell their wares. We invite you to join us on Saturday, May 21st to share your talents with families of the Roxboro schools and the entire Heights Community.
